Mavic's Crossmax SL Discs are among the lightest disc wheels available and are perfect for hard-core racers and weekend warriors alike. For maximum strength and lightness they boast Mavic's welded Maxtal aluminum rims, which feature Mavic's ISM technology (Inter Spoke Milling) that significantly reduces the weight. Boosting the strength and keeping the weight as low as possible are Mavic's straight-pull butted Zicral aluminum spokes and nipples. Plus, these sweet wheels sport Mavic's efficient QRM hubs that have serviceable and durable sealed-cartridge bearings and titanium and aluminum axles for more gram savings. These wheels are compatible with UST tubeless and regular tires and tubes, too.
The photo on the left shows the International Standard (IS) hub, which uses a 6-bolt mounting system to attach the rotor. The photo on the right shows Shimano's splined Center Lock rotor mount. If you have any questions about hub/rotor compatibility, please contact us or stop by.
Mavic's Maxtal rim uses 6000 aluminum, which is 30% stronger than 6106 aluminum.
Mavic's Zicral spokes are made of aluminum and are 10% stronger than stainless-steel spokes, and are lighter, too.
Mavic's QRM+ hubs offer low rolling resistance for more speed and feature sealed bearings for easy maintenance.
Mavic's FTS-X (Force Transfer System) ensures the cassette drive mechanism is ultra strong and light.
Accepts UST tubeless and regular tires and tubes.
