DEMO RIDE PROGRAM

Why take a demo ride? Off-road bikes keep evolving and the new choices are impressive. Even though you love to ride your current bike, you might wonder if a more advanced bike would make rides even better. Tire size, frame material, geometry, and suspension travel are just a few of the considerations. Your research could be endless, but we think the surest way to choose a bike is for you to ride it in real world conditions. Evaluate a bike on a local trail and you’ll have your own answer to the question: “How does it ride?” Our demo program allows you to take advanced bikes on your favorite trails to understand truly how the bikes will perform to help insure you are making a great choice.

There are 2 ways to experience an extended test ride (demo ride).
1) Attend a demo day event at a local trail. Meet us at the trailhead on select dates throughout the 2017 riding season (see calendar). Bring your shoes, pedals, helmet, and driver's license. We'll set the suspension and other adjustments then send you on your way. Demo day rides are limited to one hour. This is a great opportunity to discuss your riding style and which type of bike works best for you. Plus, it should be fun.

2) Make a reservation and rent a bike from our demo fleet for 24 hours, for $100. Longer time periods can be arranged upon request. The fees that you pay can be applied to the purchase of a new bike (must be a new full-suspension mountain bike).  Reserve a rental at http://bgindy.com/about/bicycle-garage-indy-bicycle-rentals-north-pg1424.htm

THE DEMO CHOICES

For 2017, we selected demo bikes that represent the absolute best platforms from Giant, Liv, Trek and Yeti. These 4 models showcase distinct ride profiles. Ride them, compare them, and find the characteristics that suit you best. After that, you can shop for a new bike with confidence.

Trek Top Fuel 8

Trek Top Fuel 8 --  Demo sizes: 17, 18.5, 19.5

The lightweight Aluminum Top Fuel is a fast, versatile choice for the cross country racer or marathon rider. 100mm of front and rear suspension travel to absorb the bumps in the trail. This bike uses boost hub spacing on 29inch wheels to make sure you get from point A to point B as quickly as possible.

If you are looking at a cross country platform for racing or as a weekend trail-slayer, the Top Fuel is an excellent choice for the rider looking for a fast, capable bike with a lot of top-end development.

Giant Anthem Advanced 2

Giant Anthem Advanced 2 -- Demo sizes: Small, Medium, Large

Giant has taken the lead position with 27.5 (650b) wheels and hasn’t looked back.  This lightweight carbon framed cross country bike uses 120mm of front suspension travel and 110mm of rear travel.  It has optimized the 27.5 inch carbon wheels with Boost hub spacing which allows the bike to be playful and stiff.  It’s all about speed and control!

The new Anthem platform is pushing the envelope of cross country bikes to bring in more tail influence which makes this platform very capable on the climbs and tremendously confidence inspiring on the the descents.  The Anthem is a great blend or cross country efficiency and trail bike confidence.

Liv Pique Advanced 2

Liv Pique Advanced 2 -- Demo sizes: Extra-small, Small, Medium

Equal parts agile and tough, the Pique Advanced inspires confident downhill ripping, and will tackle the uphill at a blistering pace. With low stand-over height, find greater balance while moving around the bike during those tougher trail negotiations on rocky, rooty sections, uphill ledges and downhill drops. The 27.5-inch wheel size ensures that bike handling is still nimble and playful, while maintaining the stable cornering and bump-reducing qualities of a larger wheel size.

120mm of front and rear suspension travel on 27.5 wheels make this bike a blast on any Indiana trail.

Yeti SB 4.5 carbon

Yeti SB 4.5 Carbon with XO Eagle -- Demo sizes: Medium, Large, Extra-large

Yeti has a long history of building and developing bikes for riders by riders.  The SB4.5 is the answer for riders looking for a versatile 29’r rig.  The SB4.5 frame design is optimized for 29" wheels and has a distinctly different personality than 29ers of old, ensuring the rider feels perfectly balanced between the wheels – not top heavy or lumbering. The proficient Switch Infinity suspension platform and short chainstays make this bike feel effortless on climbs and lively and plush on descents.
